Beastfolk

A thousand ways to belong

People with animal ancestry; the lineage identifies the particular animal.

Beastfolk is a traveler’s broad name for many distinct peoples, not a single culture. Their lineages carry different relationships with body, environment and community. Port cities of the crossings learned to accommodate unfamiliar senses, forms of speech and customs; the best became richer for the effort.

A feline singer and a lupine sentinel need not share a history simply because others place them under one heading. Beastfolk champions bring the particular stories of their own lineages into the arena. Their animal traits shape how they move through the world, while their choices tell us who they are.

Ancestry is a beginning.

Beastfolk describes a race, not a combat restriction. Race does not grant an automatic combat bonus or passive ability. Resistances and weaknesses belong to each hero’s individual combat profile. The heroes below have their own lineages and classes. Their individual profiles tell the stories that make them distinct.
