The burden of radiance

Divine or heavenly beings, including gods and demigods.

Celestial chronicles preserve arguments about duty as carefully as miracles. Divine and heavenly origins confer expectations that can be difficult to escape: be just, be merciful, be certain. The crossings expose these beings to worlds whose needs do not fit the answers they inherited. Radiance alone cannot settle every question.

Some celestial champions serve a calling with unwavering conviction; others test or reinterpret it. Their presence in the arena is not a guarantee of moral authority. It is a declaration that even those associated with the heavens must meet a challenge through choices, effort and the consequences of both.

Ancestry is a beginning.

Celestial describes a race, not a combat restriction. Race does not grant an automatic combat bonus or passive ability. Resistances and weaknesses belong to each hero’s individual combat profile. The heroes below have their own lineages and classes. Their individual profiles tell the stories that make them distinct.
