Construct stories begin when something made for a purpose discovers a purpose of its own. Some awaken gradually through years of experience; others remember a single impossible moment of self-recognition. Along the crossings, created beings established workshops and refuges where repair did not require surrendering independence.

Clockwork, carved matter and advanced machinery produce very different lives. A construct may treasure its maker, reject an imposed duty or search for someone who no longer exists. Champions enter the arena as authors of their own decisions. Their bodies were built; the meaning of their lives remains their own work.

Ancestry is a beginning.

Construct describes a race, not a combat restriction. Race does not grant an automatic combat bonus or passive ability. Resistances and weaknesses belong to each hero’s individual combat profile. The heroes below have their own lineages and classes. Their individual profiles tell the stories that make them distinct.
