Dwarf
The weight of a promise
Stout folk known for endurance, craft and the keeping of oaths.
Dwarven settlements mark their history in things that must bear weight: bridges, gates, tools and agreements. A maker’s mark records more than ownership. It tells the next traveler who accepted responsibility when the stone cracked or the winter came early. Across the crossings, dwarven halls became places where strangers could exchange a promise for shelter.
Their traditions have room for meticulous engineers, extravagant artists and rebels who would rather melt an inheritance than obey it. A dwarf’s oath is chosen, not automatic. In the arena, champions test the work of their own hands and the strength of the commitments they have decided to keep.
