Human chronicles in the Ink Between are written over older chronicles: a harbor becomes a metropolis, an oath becomes a revolution, a machine becomes a new limb. Their short generations make them impatient archivists. They preserve what matters by putting it to work, carrying recipes, maps and stubborn promises into worlds their grandparents could not have imagined.

There is no single human homeland or proper human ambition. Captains bargain with storms, wasteland survivors rebuild forbidden engines, and ordinary people become extraordinary by refusing to leave someone behind. Human champions enter the arena with unfinished business. Victory is useful; what it allows them to do afterward is the real prize.

Ancestry is a beginning.

Human describes a race, not a combat restriction. Race does not grant an automatic combat bonus or passive ability. Resistances and weaknesses belong to each hero’s individual combat profile. The heroes below have their own lineages and classes. Their individual profiles tell the stories that make them distinct.
