Shapeshifter traditions distinguish appearance from intention. In some communities, names describe commitments rather than bodies; in others, a familiar form is a treasured expression of belonging. The crossings made these customs useful and controversial, forcing neighbors to consider what recognition and trust actually require.

Changing form does not erase identity or automatically imply deception. Champions may use transformation as art, adaptation, protection or exploration. In the arena they bring a history of living beyond fixed expectations. The important question is not which face is real, but what the person wearing it chooses to do.

Shapeshifter describes a race, not a combat restriction. Race does not grant an automatic combat bonus or passive ability. Resistances and weaknesses belong to each hero’s individual combat profile. The heroes below have their own lineages and classes. Their individual profiles tell the stories that make them distinct.
